The IUI CAPA is organizing the 4th edition of the COMCHA School (Computing Challenges), which will take place in Zaragoza from April 8 to 15

It will take place at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Zaragoza.
After Barcelona, Valencia, and A Coruña, the IUI CAPA of the University of Zaragoza is organizing this year the fourth edition of the COMCHA School on Computing Challenges, whose aim is to train young researchers in advanced computing.
This school includes lectures devoted to artificial intelligence and machine learning, programming on new accelerator platforms such as GPUs and FPGAs, real-time computing, event simulation, differential programming, computational infrastructures, and sustainability. It also features thematic lectures explaining the new advanced-computing technologies and strategies being adopted in different fields to tackle the challenges in this area over the coming decade.
The school will be held from April 8 to 15 in Zaragoza; organized by CAPA under the direction of Professor Héctor Gómez Maluenda, it will take place at the Faculty of Sciences. Recently designated as a university research institute, CAPA’s activities span a highly multidisciplinary environment connecting high-energy physics, nuclear and particle physics, astrophysics, cosmology, astroparticle physics, and theoretical physics, as well as associated technological developments. Its research combines detector technology and data analysis to address fundamental physics questions beyond the Standard Model.
Registration to attend the school is open until March 1; the registration fee is 150 euros, and up to 40 participants will be admitted. It is open to anyone interested, although it is especially aimed at PhD students and young postdoctoral researchers.
