Dark Matter Week begins!
This morning high school students from the IES Clara Campoamor Rodríguez, La Azucarera, Miguel Servet, Andalán, Pedro de Luna and Itaca have participated in the “Hands on Dark Matter” activity organized by CAPA. They have attended talks, connected with the Canfranc Underground Laboratory and the Center for Cosmos Physics Studies of Aragon (CEFCA), have detected environmental radioactivity and observed traces of cosmic rays in the laboratory, verified the amount of dark matter in a galaxy and the effect of gravitational lenses, and finally, participated in a quiz before the final photo. We hope you enjoyed it, learned what dark matter is and how we look for it, and that you visit us again!
